Wind Symphony  – The Eastview Wind Symphony, directed by Rich Berggren, is a very advanced band that is open to students in grades 10-12 through audition. The group has a long history of excellence including multiple performances at Minnesota Music Educators conventions, joint concerts with collegiate and adult bands, and outstanding representation in Minnesota All-State Bands. 202 students have been selected as All-State members since the opening of the school in 1997. The Wind Ensemble performs six concerts annually including the South Suburban Conference Concert Band Festival. All students receive private lessons from the band staff.

Symphonic Band – The Eastview Symphonic Band, directed by, Matt Gullickson is an advanced band that is open to students in grades 10-12 through audition. The group performs four annual concerts featuring a wide variety of music including both classic and contemporary band literature. The Symphonic Band has frequently participated in clinics and masterclasses with area college band directors and composers. All students receive private lessons from the band staff.

Concert Band – The Eastview Concert Band, directed by Ben Harloff, is open to students in grades 10-12 through audition. The group performs four annual concerts featuring a wide variety of music including both classic and contemporary band literature. All students receive private lessons from the band staff.

Varsity Band – The Varsity Band, directed by Matt Gullickson and Ben Harloff, is the freshman bands at Eastview. The group has two different sections of equal ability and performs four annual concerts featuring a wide variety of music including both classic and contemporary band literature. Varsity Band students are challenged to develop refined musical performance skills. All students receive private lessons from the band staff.

HONOR BAND OPPORTUNITIES

Students are also encouraged to participate in a variety of Regional Honor Bands that are held throughout the year.  Each Honor Band has specific deadlines for applications and/or auditions.  Band members will be provided information regarding these opportunities in the fall of the year.
